Advancement Lever...Please help

After starting ,1978 150 V6, it seems the advance lever doesn't fully return to let the engine idle down..After manually pushing back on it, it still idles at 1300-1500...Please help need to get this fixed and on extreme budget....

possibly areturn spring under the plastic cover above your flywheel. but then again i know nothing.. good luck

Loosen the clamp back at the engine that retains he throttle cable. Adjust the throttle cable with the adjustable trunion you see in the cable clamp area.
