1987 Mercury 50 Vacuum Tee?

Hi, i broke the vacuum tee that connects from the air box to the powerhead. what part is this exactly? I taped it back together and havent noticed a difference, i had the boat out yesterday and it was running very well still?Any help would be appreciated, i have a manual and can't find anything about it so far.

Are you sure it is a vacumm tee? It may be a water pressure tee. In any event, fix it if it's broke. Get a new tee.
