I have a 1994 Four Winns 230 Horizon 7.4 King Cobra I am having trouble with the out drive. the boat will not go forward. I have adjusted the shift cable twice.. When you put in gear the prop rotates as if it will work but it wont move the boat. to much turbulencein water from exhaust to see what is happening. problem seemed to start when the boat ran hot two weeks ago, have repaired overheat problem but now boat wont go forward. reverse is fine. any help?

Ayuh,... Take an oil sample from the drainplug,+ look for water or Metal...

I had drained some fluid on saturday so that i could check out the shift shoe area fluid looked good,no water or metal. shift shoe looked okay as far as i could tell.
