Battery charge? Chrysler 55

I'm just curious if my outboard is suppose to charge the battery? Or do I have to use the battery wisely? I was thinking about installing a radio.

It's a 1970 Chrysler 55hp
Model 555HA
Serial x4949

As far a I know it's a Magneto style outboard.

If your engine have the coils below the flywheel is
a magneto model and do not charge the battery.
If your engine have the coils like two little bottles
and you can see it is a magneto model with alternator
and charges the batttery.

Ok,
Coils below the flywheel.

Gonna have to buy a battery charger then.
