Took the boat out yesterday.
My Chrysler 55 Hp (1970) fired up real nice.
I noticed that is has a cough or a miss. Not all the time only about every 3-4 seconds. When I apply throttle (warmup) it will start to sputter but will pick up once the RPM gets high enough.

Any idea on what this could be?

Already replaced all fuel lines, new solenoid.
I wanted to take the flywheel off, but couldn't find a harmonic balancer that is big enough. So i can't remove that.

Re: Motor studder

change the plugs also
Thats a twin carb motor right? Do a link and sync on the carbs, that should get it running smooth, should have instructions in the manual. Theres some on here someone posted for my 140 but I'm not sure if its the same procedure for the 55.

No, this is the single carb engine. 2 cylinder.
I'll pick up a set of plugs.

Recommendation any plug type?
I picked this motor up from someone that cobbled the engine together. I've already redone a bit to the motor so I want to make sure it's right.
