Whats This Thing For On My 175xp Evinrude

There is a small componment on the side of my 175. Its about 2in long, setting just behind the middle Carb.

The weird thing is,,,,,,,,,,it has a fitting on it like "A Inner Tube"! A place that looks like you would inflate air into it.

What is this for?

Confused!!

possibly a "shrader" valve to check your Fuel PSI

That's where the reserve horsepower is stored. You plug in an air hose and if you pump in 25 psi you add 25 hp. 100 psi adds 100 hp.

Or it could be the primer solenoid. The schrader valve is where fogging oil or Engine Tuner is introduced into the fuel system.

You had me going there for a moment!

Its a 1988 V6 175xp, i seen the red valve on top of it that can tur 180 degrees either way.
