Kept blowing 20 amp fuse to the ignition. Performed test from the stickies with my snap-on test connected to good ground probed b terminal got a light, probed s terminal turned key to start no light but boat started this is a new ignition switch and the same test was performed with the old switch and got not lihgt to s terminal with switch on but blew the fuse ?????? checked every wire in the starting circuit and had good continuity from one end to the other on each and every wire in the starting circuit from every connection to it's assigned destination. Any clues? or is this a misprint in the stickies? Any comments would be great I don't want to get stranded on lkae with a no start situation with the family and have to jump the slave solenoid.

I wonder if the battery voltage drop when you hit the starter was enough so that the light did not work (shouldn't but who knows)? Probe the b terminal and start it, see if the light goes out when the starter is cranking. Did the old ignition switch work (aside from blowing fuses)? If the only thing that you did was change switches, wonder if there is problem wire that you moved during the instillation and is no longer shorting? Just rambling here. Good luck

Battery only has 5 hrs operating time if that, and the old switch kept blowing fuses as soon as I tried to start! 1st test reveled bad starter switch according to test. Replaced switch performed test again and came up with the above listed results. All wires and connection as stated were checked for continuity (good) and re-attached. Just puzzled on test results I have never gotten info that was suspect to doubt in the stickies!!

When you are drawing a ton of amps during starting, even a new battery's voltage will drop. There must be voltage there, for some reason your light is not seeing it. Can you check it with a voltmeter?

As you said the old switch did actually work aside from blowing fuses and I did'nt use my volt meter on the B terminal but will before hitting the water. What I don't understand is I pulled the complete wiring harness out of the run and tested evey wire for continuity and theyy all passed even wigged including connections but like you said the suspect wire could be laying in and waiting we'll see I do know one thing over the winter the entire harness and or boat are gonna be replaced. I post back the results when I do the next test Thanx for the help.
