I have a 1967 Sportwin and I can barely pull the pullstart. With a bolt attached to the crankshaft it is very difficult to spin the shaft. Any ideas to resolve this?? It hasnt been run for 2 years thanks

Does it spin over easy with the spark plugs out? Try squirting some oil in the cylinders and see if it spins over any easier. Does the lower unit have any water in it? Could have a lower unit bearing problem. Just a couple of ideas.

The plugs are out and no difference. There is no water in lower unit. I had lower unit off and the driveshaft spun with ease. Is there a way to grease the crankshaft?

Nothing to grease on the driveshaft. Is this motor new to you? Has the motor setting for a long period of time? You may want to check the cylinders for rust or corrosion.
Some of the old motors were hard to pull over if you were not used to them.

I'd be pulling the flywheel to inspect the coil clearance, may be some dragging going on.
