What is the part that connects/attaches to the motor steering arm, that I hook the two steering cable pulleys to, called, or look like, or where I may find one? Looking for one that would fit my 1967 Merc 65 hp.

Thanks for the help

I have such a part, but it's from a 40hp Johnson. Have a look at the pictures below and see if it might fit your motor. If the front yoke looks similar, you might be in luck, or possibly modify it to suit. You can also try posting on the Mercury/Mariner Forum.

No, does not look like my "yoke". But I get the idea on what it is.

Thanks

No probs... good luck. Why not get piece of 2"x2"x1/4" angle about 4 or 5" long, round the corners, thru drill holes through the angle and your yoke, and drill a couple of holes at the lower ends for some S-hooks; and then squeeze the S-hooks closed once installed to the pulleys? About an hour's work on the outside. Like the picture, just not as fancy.

My yoke is horizontal, so I think it would need to be a tee bolt with eye's on the ends. I'm searching tee bolts and Eye bolts now.
