79 115 Evinrude water pump change question

I am changing the water pump and need to know the basic steps. I have done this on a 79 55 hp a while back. I think I need to disconnect the shift linkage and remove bolts and slide it out? Is the shift linkage disconnect up top behind the carbs or is there another way to do it? Is the 115 much different from the 55 hp? Thanks.

Thanks for the information. I needed the hint about the bolt under the trim tab.

I have a kit and have identified all parts except a 1 1/2 inch diameter o-ring.

I do not see anywhere to use that o-ring. This housing also does not have a seal on top where the shaft goes through like the original did.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
