ok so i put the boat in the water and it won't start. it turns over but doesn't even try to start. i smell gas so i think its flooded. so i start the 7.5 and go fishing. 2 hours later i try to start the big motor and still nothing. so i pump the bulb to make sure its hard. go back and try to turn over but only get some clicking. now i took cover off and the starter looks like is stuck engaged. i assuming that it works like a car. i can see it is engaged with the flywheel. its not suppose to be like that right? thanks glenn

I had the same problem, turned out to be my battery. Oh the wierd things a bad battery can cause. My starter would get stuck engaged, wouldnt stop spinning, engine would just crank. Got a new one, charged it and Bang, all the problems gone. But dont take my word for it, I'm no pro at this, just my experience.
