Ran the boat, ran fine no matter what RPM. Then the motor came down of step and ran sputtered. I came home and found a lot of water in the tank. I drained the tank, blew out the lines, changed the ravoc fuel filter. Filled the boat up, put in two cans of sea foam and changed the pump up ball. Boat ran fine for about 1 hour. Then started acting the same way, then gradually got worse to the point that it would not run over 2600 rpms. Long story short, I floated home for about 8 hours. Any suggestions as to what is going on? Thanks for any input.

I encountered the same problem. I am still looking for the probable cause of it. If I find the answer I will notify you soon. :D

same thing happening here on my 2007 df 140, thinking that its the high pressure fuel filter. I'm waiting for the new one to show up. (I live in a remote area of alaska so im waitng for it to get shipped out here.) I will re-post when i get it installed and let you know the results.
Makindue have you tried replacing the highpressure filter?

the high pressure filter is located behind the manifold, just above the High Pressure fuel pump. it kind of looks like a black can.
you should be able to remove/install the filter without having to remove the manifold... i think anyway. hope this helps
where do you live in AK? i live out in the prince william sound at a salmon hatchery.

Thanks Jay, it does look like I can get to it from the top and not have to take off the manifold, or should I say, someone else. I'll have to order it, when I type in high pressure filter here on iboats, i don't get the same part. Is there another name? I live in Bethel.

Cant find the high pressure fuel filter on i boats either. here is the link to purchase it from browns point
http://store.brownspoint.com/df140/fig010-140-0210.asp
before you buy the new fuel filter open the drain screw on your high pressure fuel pump and pump fresh gas through it a few times with the bulb. then remove the bolt from the bottom of your injector rail and let it drain. pump fresh gas through again. if this doesnt fix your problem then buy the filter.
