I thought I have seen a list of fuel pumps to convert the VRO to premix. I can't seem to find them, anybody remember where it might be posted?

Thanks
I found that post but the fuel pump list at the bottom of the page will not come up, says it cannot be found.

Re: VRO conversion

25 to 75 HP

Sierra 18-7352 only two hose nipples, in, out, pulse from the back.

Sierra 18-7353 has three hose nipples, one incoming fuel, one outgoing fuel and one for the hose for the pulse

The wiring coming from both the fuel pump and the tank is for warning signals only. They don't have anything to do with pump functioning. Leave them disconnected - but make sure the wires you disconnect them from (inside the cowling) are tied off and/or wrapped in tape so they won't rattle around or ground on something metal (which would cause a false alarm).

I am trying this same conversion on a 1989 vro 60hp. On the page that sells the 18-7353 ... it states that it is for a 20 to 30 hp 1990-2000 engine. Are you sure it will work for a 60hp ??? I bought the 18-7352 by mistake and it will not mount on engine ( no external pulse line ) I want to make sure it will supply enough fuel. Thanks

I'm also about to replace the pump on a 1990 90hp. Will the 18-7353 work for me as well or will I require a different one?

Re: VRO conversion

I replaced the VRO on a 99 Johnson 60hp -3cly. with a Bombardier pump assembly, part# 0438559 ( has seperate nipple for pulse) and it works great. Someone on this forum gave me that part# last year. This pump does a better job of supplying fuel ( mixed by me of course ) than the VRO ever did.
