I have been reading a LOT about the VRO system. After reading all the literature I am a little concerned with the reliability of the system. i have a 1992 Johnson 120 V4. This motor runs like a champ and I dont want to risk fragging it. I had to premix the fuel for my previous motor and hated every time I filled up. I do enjoy having the oil injection but after reading several differing opinions dont know which way to go. Is the OMS system reliable? Do I premix again? How hard is it to convert to the OMS system and is the cost worth it? I did some calculations using 40 gallons of fuel and I consumed just under a gallon of oil. Per my calculations I should be using right at 102 oz of oil to every 40 gallons. There are no obvious leaks to the current VRO2 system and I don't have any hiccups in the motor from idle to WOT. Is there a way to check if the VRO is fixing to go bad or do you just wait until it does? Thanks for the help! I am open to ALL suggestions and/or information.
