Well, I finally figured out how to release the top and have started rehab.

Looks a little dusty. Thats from the grinding on the splashwell to even it out. That stuff went everywhere. Had my mask on and long sleeves.

Again very dusty. Inside you'll see pieces of rotted wood i've removed that resides just before the bilge area. The foam on the right is from a exploratory mission searching out rotten deck board and how much of that will need to be cut out. The left and right orangish boards in the background are the front of the console and were glassed to the deck and the sides of the boat.
None of this area had any foam and when I removed the deck there was water not only in the center but in between the inner most stringers.

Had to remove some of the foam because it looked like the deck ran all the way to the stern and then I noticed the board glassed in that runs horizontally from the starboard side to about the middle of the transom and glassed to the transom. I read an earlier thread that referenced this as a knee board? Can this stay or go??? The port side has an identical config with this board. Also can you tell whether the foam is a #2 or #4 type foam?

Okay, we got pics now. I would stay with the original configuration. I am not sure about the # of your foam, maybe someone else will chide in.
