first, i need to know if i changed the lowere end oil correctly,i drained it out the screws on right hand screw, then i put gear oil in from bottom hole then plugged it, also my tilt switch will only drop the motor not lift i have to use a jump wire in the hatch to raise it

As long as you pushed the oil into the bottom screw hole until it came out the top screw hole, you are OK. What type of gear oil did you use? What year and HP motor do you have? Electric shift models use Type C Gear Oil. Mechanical Shift motors use standard Marine gear Oil for manual Shift motors. Newer motors can benefit (somewhat) from using synthetic Marine gear oil.

Lucas high performance 80w-90 works great even says it works excellent on outdrives on the bottle you can get it at the parts store and its a lot cheaper

no,they looked in good condition, but just in case couldn't I just silicone over the screws with clean silicone for a precautionary measure?

Silicone is for fish tanks and babes.
New seals are the way to fly, buy a bag of them here on iBoats for cheap.
