Ok
I have been working on a 1975 70hp for a while
I now have it running pretty darn good
carb rebuild and a new power pack fixed her up

well i change my regulator and was running it on the muffs
it started running like crap so shut it down

I pulled the plugs and noticed all three had milky oil on them

when i store my boat it does not have a cover
i leave the vents on the plastic tanks open

i pulled of the gas hose and nothing but water

do you think leaving the vents open on a protible red plastic tank will let all this water in?

Thanks Bob

Get some known good premix into that motor before it starts to corrode inside. Dump the old gas, pump out the fuel line and start again. Vent should be closed when not in use and personally I would keep it indoors if the boat is not covered between uses.

Remember, the carbs are going to be full of the garbage fuel as well. Need to drain and clean them out again.

like ken,,,, said, first, drain the carbs by opening the brass plug on each carb, get a good tank of clean water free gas ,put a bit more oil than nomal in the gas ,if you have VRO put about 4 ounces in the gas ,and get it running.make sure it runs on all 3 cylinders and give it a nice run.Hopefully you didnt fill the carbs with crap.If eng wont come around ,you may need to dissamble the carbs and clean.time is not on your side here
