Just picked up another free Starcraft. This one however requires paddles for propulsion.

My sister's neighbor had an aluminum canoe he wanted to get rid of and I said I'd take it. I got it loaded up on the top of the van and saw the Starcraft logos on each side.

Did they put some kind of plate on them somewhere that had the yer manufactured?

Interesting, I've never seen a Starcraft canoe.

Re: New Starcraft

I'm jealous...I've been looking for a Starcraft aluminum canoe for a year or two. They are not as common as the V-hulls.:D

Once I find one I will just need the Starcraft pop-up camper to complete the trifecta;)

Congrats on the free tin!

BTW there are some brochures that list the specs on the canoes too...just check the link in my signature.

Re: New Starcraft

Took a better look at it tonight. Looks like the bow and stern have been enclosed and filled with foam. Was this a factory option or done by a PO?

Also the seats are padded and covered. OEM or aftermarket?

Not sure about the seats but the bow and stern (if there is either) are factory filled with foam. You can sit two people in it, fill it comletely with water and it won't sink!!! Had great fun in Boy Scouts many years ago learning about that. Great find

Flotation foam= factory...vinyl seat covers= not factory.

There's a brochures link in my signature that has info on the canoes if you are interested. Does it have the data plate or a hull ID?
