Today my wife told me about her day.. She was off work and thought about sitting on the front porch with our dog Keeper. As she was sitting there, a young man (punk to put it another way) told her "That dog belongs on a leash". So she held up the leash to show him that Keeper was in fact on a leash. He made another smart arse comment which was insullting. Keeper stood up and did his deep bark at him. "You better hang on to that dog" he yells. The more he got loud, the louder Keeper got in his barks until it became a loud growl. My wife told him that maybe he should get off our lawn and walk on the other side of the road facing traffic which is the right way a pedistrain should do. The kid hollers back "Oh that dog is fat, he couldn't do anything". Well, that did it. Keeper starting showing his teeth, snarling, and pulling on the leash. At that point my wife was doing what her 120 pound body could do to hold back the 140 pound dog. Need I say that the punk ran to the other side of the road and continued running.

The thing is, "My dog does not like being call FAT"! Plus he does take offense when someone raises their voice at my wife,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,except me :D

Re: Good Dog

I have a feeling he isn't going to walk in front of your house anymore!

Re: Good Dog

That's why we suggested "Keeper" when you got him, SS.

I suggest a nice, meaty bone to gnaw. Good dog. :)

Re: Good Dog

Let me make sure I got this straight. Your wife is sitting on the porch of your house, watching life go by and some SOB (a total stranger even) thats walking down the street takes it upon himself to come in your yard to just out of the blue say something to your wife about keeping the dog of a leash??? Something isnt right about that at all. Was the guy on drugs or something? With the Castle laws now, you can be shot for a whole lot less.

Response should have been, "He's on a leash, but he's stronger than I am."

My better half would have said "sic em" almost under her breath and dropped the leash.
