Hello fellow forum members.My hull repair turned out very well so far.Took the 14 ft aluminum Grumman out on the lake and slapped it around on the rough water and all was well.I had a small/weep/leak under the rear seat which i plan to seal with gluvit as as reccomended to me in a previous thread.I will add some final pics.later for anyone interested.The boat seems very rigid now and goes just where you point it.The boat gets right up on plane and continues a slight porpoise motion at full plane.Seems very fast I would guess 35mph but I will also measure that with my gps and get back to post it.Thanks for looking and have a great time working on your boats...John

Does anyone know if you can use automotive trunk paint to paint the floor of an aluminum boat.I like the tan/white speckled factory paint job on my utility boat because it hides dirt/is not reflective/and doesn't get that hot in the sun.???

I would say you probably could get away with that if you sand the metal well and use a good self etching primer. My only worry is that it is a floor so its high traffic and wet.

Yes,The floor will have grip panels over the finish paint.Similar to skateboard anti slip covering....Thanks

Well, repairing of boat is not so easy task as it is performed by some of the experts or saying good boat repairing mechanics. I am also having boat which is made for aluminum, it got some damage from sides as hit with one rock so, I am looking for one of the best boat repair mechanic to repair it. Thanks
