Re: Mr. Annoying Drunk guy doesn't get the hint that I don't want him on my boat anym
This is one of those sensitive situations where it's easy to give out advice on what the other guy should do, but damn hard to actually do it yourself. \
I can tell you from experience with both friends and relatives that this is exactly the reason why many alcholics go on for years and years with everybody putting up with their behavior: Because it's very hard to say to someone's face that they're a drunk and you don't like the way they act when they're drinking.
Personally, in this friend-of-a-friend situation, I think it's very difficult to know what to do. I think you're doing the right thing by just disengaging from him, but that doesn't take care of the situations where he shows up because your other friends invited him along. It's annoying as hell to have some loudmouthed drunk making a jackass of himself and I agree with your approach of your boat, your rules.

you'd be a better friend if you just told him WHY you didnt want him around...
Stop being so passive aggressive and tell him exactly what the problem is.
