Toilet paper,
I found a old camping gear bivvy set up I did mid 80's, this included a couple of roles of good old "TP".
What happened??? the center's got way bigger, less squares, and no holding power!!!
There is a glut of paper pulp products and no one can make a decent role off #1 ?????

Modern toilet tissue is far superior to the used newsprint or near transparent junk we used to get.

The Northern is good, but I prefer Charmin Extra Strong in the super big rolls.

2 ply is a rip off. Who counts? Most of us just roll off 8-10 sheets and do our thing. They get to sell twice as much TP.

Charmin doesn't decompose well and clogs pipes and fills septic systems. Scott's is the best for strength and decomp ... good for the butt and good for the septic. My $0.02 anyway.

You would be amazed about the toilet paper industry. This is no lie...its very cloak & dagger, and lots of security to prevent industrial espionage. Lots of trade secrets on additives, strength characteristics, softness etc.

The other aspect people may not realize is that its made at close to 6000 feet per minute. (that's almost 70 miles per hour)

and the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION

Which direction do you use the paper?
Over the top from the front?
From the rear and the bottom?

From a professional TP restocker standpoint:
I was instructed to install in the B position and the reason given was so the old ladies and men (retirement community) would't smear up the wall (with you know what) reaching for a wipe. No sheet, honestly.
