how to set a warm up lever on motor

i have a 1979 100 hp evinrude and i was asking for advice for an easy way to set my warm up lever cable on motor.please help me i want to go rip some lip this weekend. thnx:rolleyes:

How old is the battery?

-You can take it to Auto Zone or similar place and have them test your battery. (Try this first....call them up most them do it as courtesy and won't charge you.)

-Also if you are using the same battery for other electronics, such as your trolling motor, you could be using it up with trolling around and have little juice to start up your motor later on. (just an off thought if you have one battery and using it for all your boat needs.)

no, nothing else is hooked up to it,just mtor not even power trim.trying to get it started,now after it starts does motor recharge the battery

well i got it running,now all i have to do is set throttle cable on tach when i pick up rev control i dont have any and on hose its running about 900 rpm on tach i need about 1200 on tack with hose so when i put it in water it will be about 1000 in water.any ideas on how to do this?

oh and my buzzer is on while idle i dont have any thermostats any more so can i unhook the buzzer?
