Ok took my mako out to the reef today and left my girlfriend to start the motor and tow myself and some friends around... she flooded the motor or so i think... and then i burned out the starter trying to get it to crank right after that. towed the boat back home.. found a used starter put it on changed the plugs.... still no fire.. checked spark have it at all 4 cylinders... compression seems good... have gas in the inline filter right before the carbs... wtf???? boat ran great all the way out 10 miles yesterday and today no problems.. i dont get it. could it still be flooded... i pulled the plugs and ran the motor over for a good 30 seconds. could it be some kind of ignition advance problem?

Are you putting the power lever in the start position and using the choke?

Re: 96 force 120 no start have spark and fuel????

hey john thanks for the reply! i do have the lever in the start position and i have tried the primer switch... now i just found that the 4th plug is not producing spark.. im also not impressed with the quality of spark i am getting from the rest of the plugs... i switched the coil wires on the cdi box and got the 4th plug to start sparking and the third plug to stop so its not a coil pack... should i order a cdi box or should i look elsewhere? please help i am in a pinch only 4 days of vacation left and no boat!!!! thanks ryan

CDI modules are not cheap so I would do some additional troubleshooting before buying one.

The first thing to do is clean all the grounds and any connectors in the stator/trigger/CDI module/coil circuits. If you have a manual, ohm out the CDI module and see if it is in spec. If not, then it is probably toast.
