I have a 1975 OMC 175 (302 Ford) and my OMC owners manual shows a point gap range of .014-.019. All the other motors shown have a single gap # (eg, .018) What gap setting should I use? I'm thinking just split the difference and go with .0165 (ish)? The dwell should be 31* but I don't have a dwell meter and it will be a few days until I can get one, so what setting should I use for now? I usually run 87 octane with the dreaded 10% E-word.
