Hey all.

Well. I am splurging, and looking to get the subj boat. The guy is asking 2500 bucks. Just needs seat recovering, still usable, but rough. Took the boat for a test on the lake, ran really nice, idle'd great and started on first turn everytime.

Didnt notice any water damage anywhere, no water in the back, and not a spot of oil around the motor. Has the 5.0 Merc with a merc outdrive. And man that thing hauls @ss, especially out of the hole.

Just wondering if this is a good boat. The look is what I am going towards, and the price is definately right. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? This boat will be used for wakeboarding and tubing as well as some Big lake fishing and cruising, mostly Lake Ontario, and the Bay of Quinte.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Sounds like a good deal for a 19' with a V8 especially since you got a water test and know it runs well. I'm sure you know upholstery work is expensive.

Your biggest concern is going to be rot in the wooden components of the hull. You want a solid deck and transom. ANY soft spots in the deck are usually indicators of more serious rot below in the stringers. Repairing this type of damage is doable but it's a major project. If everything seems solid, go for it. Good luck!
