Yep, it's called 'oil'. Add to petrol at the rate of 1 part of oil to 50 of petrol....

I use Stabil all the Time.
Achris. Petrol. Aussies???(SP);)

Yep :D ... Always wanted to ask you yanks about that... If you call the stuff that goes into the car, 'gas', what do you call the stuff that is compressed into a bottle that runs your barbecues? If you call that 'gas' too, how do you differentiate them when you go to buy them? I assume they sell both at the same shop (we call them 'petrol stations', I guess you call 'em 'gas stations').

Your friendly Aussie..... ;)

The best stuff I have found is Quickleen(Merc) and Carbon Guard(OMC) and I tell my customers to add it to every 3rd tank of fuel. I also suggest that a 1/2 can of Power Tune be sprayed thru engine every 3 months, I do not use Sea**** as I have had several customer engines fail after they where decarboned with this product and every one had same thing in common....bearings

Sea Foam run at the recommended maintenance level works fine.

It also works in your vehicles when you get a 'Check Engine' light and erratic idle caused by a gummed up EGR valve. Especially great if your vehicle(s) are a van (wife and dau, BOTH).

The stuff that goes into cars is gasoline, gas for short.

The stuff for the BBQ grill is called charcoal:):) Just kidding. I call the stuff for the BBQ propane, propane gas, or LPG. I personally never refer to it as simply "gas".

Never really thought that much about it but can't recall it ever causing any confusion.

As for the original post, I used Sea Foam regularly in my 70 hp Johnson on my previous boat that used pre-mix. Works great. Never touched the carburetors on that engine in the 10 years or so I had it.
