mercruiser 3.0 temp questions

today I replaced to impeller on my 99 mercruiser 3.0 and put the muffs on it when i was complete and noticed that the temp went up to about 160/165 area when i usually run at about 150-160 area is this normal? I had plenty of water flow and this temp increase happened within about 10min.

I wouldn't bother with a 10? variation. If you have good water flow, then all is good. When did you last check/change the thermostat?

if 10? is OK, when do you start to worry?

My 3.0 generally doesn't go over 150?F as well.

Above about 200..... or if the upward trend continues. Then go looking for the cause.
