Need Help with Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5

[54fleetwin]

I Have a '54 fleetwin 7.5. I decided to inspect the water pump and found the spring on top of the driveshaft to be broken.
Anyone have one of these or a part number for it?

I have had them welded in the past with much success, I have a spare that still works however I have 2 motors that use them. If you aren't concerned about hitting something then welding and a softer drive pin is the way to go. I'm surprised it didn't take out the upper bearing plate as well.

Depends on what part of the driveshaft LOL, too many springs to choose from! Guess I had a brain fart, F_R is correct.

Where is the gear shift rod seal located?

Does it come with the lower end seal kit I ordered?

I have been watching ebay for 2 weeks

I called some parts dealers and there records dont go back that far.

Time to call the salvage yards
