I just picked up a 95 Monterey Montura 210 w/ a 5.8 volvo. I've read a few posts on here regarding bypassing the solenoid to get a start, etc. I cannot get the key to turn the boat over. It starts fine bypassing the solenoid, but I can't get it to key start. All the gauges come on so I figure the ignition switch is ok unless there is fusable link on the feed going back....I'll check that tomorrow. Fuses look OK under the console. There are two red buttons behind the solenoid that appear to be 50 amp circuits. Haven't checked them yet. My question.....is there a kill switch on this model that I am missing. Also, is there a way to test the neutral safety switch? Any advice is appreciated.
Also.....is the hatch over the fuel tank factory or has someone replaced the tank and didn't want to recarpet?
