Why are you working on it?
If it needs a stator make sure you mark the leads as you take them off.J

Don't know if someone else worked on it before you and got wires hooked up wrong. You can take pictures or write it down.

I only had resistance on one set of yellow to blue
which only gave me fire to one plug
since replacing the stator (yes, all went well, and it was easy!)
like you guys said write it down, makes all the diff.
Now i have fire to #1 & #3 w/#2 being stubborn
think i have it isolated to the cdi since switching the pack wiring
plugs makes the #2 fire.
At first i thought it might be the trigger since i found a broken wire
at the base of it (this is a weak spot w/the trigger moving back and forth--i think everybody should strengthen this)i used a small amount of gorrilla glue to immobilize the wires then a light covering of rtv hi-temp gasket sealer to keep the thing from shorting out if they came loose again, worked great!!
Anyway,i'm gonna put in a new cdi and get back on the lake,it's gettin' too late in the year to be workin' on her instead of riding in her! Good with the bad huh?
Thanks for the insight,force10
