This is my first post! I recently became aware of iboats.com forums after searching the web for information on a 1957 Johnson AD-11 7.5 hp. I just bought one and hope to be able to get her water-ready. Visually, she's in very good condition! (Pic attached)

I want to purchase only the manuals/documentation that I need. I think I definitely want to purchase a '1941-1964 Johnson Outboard Service Manual' "Service Manual" #302231_10. I'm trying to decide if I also need to purchase the "Owner's Manual" #376846 and/or the "Parts Manual" #377019.

What do you suggest?
...Should I get all three manuals?
...If I got 2 of the 3, which 2 do you recommend?
...Does the Service Manual also contain some or most of the content in the Parts Manual?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Depends on your needs and experience. If you are familiar with care and operation of similar motors, you don't need the owner's manual. If you are a beginner, it is a good idea.

If you are going to be doing your own repairs, and are not familar with outboard repair, the service manual is a must.

Don't buy the parts list. It available to view free at http://www.marineengine.com/parts/johnson-evinrude-parts.php
