I have a 92 60HP that runs fine when cold, but bogs down when warm. I take the cover off and it runs fine. I think that it might be the power unit....but I am not sure. Any suggestions would be great.

Well your problem seems to be heat related, I guess the first thing I would check is that the cooling system is working properly and efficiently.

I can promise you that if you continue to run it hot that you will be throwing all kinds of parts at it.

The indicator "stream" is running strong and the water is not too hot to the touch. The engine, although warm, is not so warm that I can't put my hand on it. I don't think that it is due to lack of cooling the main engine. Although I sometimes am really surprised by what I am told is wrong with things.

When you say it bogs down, does it start to run rough and lose power or is it just flat out losing power?

You have what sounds like a classic coil drop situation but it's best to check everything from square one.

do a compression test, then check for proper spark, see if you can recreate the problem and check the spark again when it is acting up, I have an idea you might find a bad coil or possibly the power pack.

Don't take the shortcut and start replacing parts, do the actual procedures, read the Top Secret section FAQ's, they are an excellent lace to give you step by step instructions.
