Re: 150 hp miss

A miss at idle may actually be a "lean sneeze." It is actually a carb problem-running lean at idle. If there is any restriction in the 6 idle circuits in the carbs, you can get an occasional miss, or sneeze. If this is what it sounds like, you will need to overhaul the carbs with an aerosol carb cleaner to open up these small passages. A common problem which can be caused by improper winterization-such as fuel drying up in the passages over a prolonged storage period.

Re: 150 hp miss

I just ran thru my carbs because it was doing the same thing. I strongly recommend running a thin piece of copper wire( I used copper cause its softer than brass and it's all I had LOL!) up thru the passages from the float bowls to the top of the carb. You might be suprised at what you pull out. One of mine was completely blocked. I then verified it was cleaned by spaying carb cleaner thru it.
