Any help would be appreciated. Ran motor low on fuel, squeezed the fuel ball a bunch and got the motor restarted and made it to shore. Next day on a new tank of fuel, the motor started no problem , but anything over 1800 rpm and it would cough and sputter, and if pushed, shut down. Yamaha dealer put a big fuel / water separator on, changed the plugs and said I was good to go. First time out and same problem. Now it has been in the shop for over a week. All filters have been replaced or cleaned, injectors have been removed and cleaned. Problem still exists! Where do I look from here?

When you say all filters, was the VST filter cleaned or replaced?

try running on an auxiliary fuel tank.
maybe your fuel tank/pickup tube/anti-siphon valve got plugged up.

you can also monitor low and medium fuel pressures.
do you have the yamaha gauges to determine if any alarms are going off?
do you have a winky blinky to determine if any codes are being observed at problem rpms?
