You can use the oil tank off of your old motor. The wiring harness on the 2000 is not the one with the red barrel connector. I think there is a converter that plugs into the barrel connector that goes into the connectors your new motor uses. Since you have no existing controls I would look for the ones with the connectors vs having to fool with the connector if it is even still available

Your motor has to have a 1996 or newer SystemCheck oil tank. It cannot use the 1995 or older version due to the electronics inside the oil pickup.

There is no pump inside the tank, the oil pump is on the motor and recirculates the oil.

Prep for New Motor. couple questions

Prep for New Motor. couple questions

Thats a bummer to hear the cable isnt going to work. Ill have to start looking for a new one. Will the shift and throttle cables still work? As for the oil tank it sounds like Ill have to buy a new one too. The one I was planning on using is just a older tank, the tank doesnt have a pump on it just a fuel line with a primer ball on it. I wish that would work just by hooking it up but it sounds like there is more to it. The motor is model # E200FPLSSH and is a Ficht Ram injected model. Any Help is appreciated. Every motor I have bought before this has been configured to take pre-mix fuel and not even using a oil tank, so I am not to sure on what should be done to prevent my motor from cooking.

Try running a search for salvage yards, there are a few of them around.

If its 2 cycle, just block off the oil tank lines and pre mix your gas.
