Do I need to align the engine?

I am in the process of replacing the lower shift cable and the bellows on my 1976 888 stern drive. I was wondering if I need to align the engine even if I didn't replace the gimbal bearing or anything else.

If you didnt remove the engine or move mounts I dont think changing bellows or shift cable will have changed the alignment but since the drive is off you should ckeck it with alignment tool.
