The plastic stop for control arm is worn and no longer prevents movement of control arm from going into gear. Are there any replacement locking arms.

sound like the control box idle release button or the release in the handle itself.

Re: Control Arm neutral lock worn, Does not lock sufficient.

I have a 86 18' Open bow Ebtide with 4.3L OMC. The throttle/forward/reverse control arm has a plastic inner sleeve that is force down by a spring in the top of the control arm. this flat plastic plate apparently is worn enough, that it does not prevent the shifting of the throttle/gears, without lifting the release under the control arm handle.

I see no markings on the handle as to a model or time. Any ideas where I can get a replacement?
