What outdrive do I have (need to get?)

I've got a 93 Mariah Talari Z with the 4.3 LX. I believe it is an Alpha one. About two years ago my upper unit gears stripped out, so I guess I'm just going to go ahead and buy a complete outdrive to make it easier... My Uncle said he could fix it, and he said the housing looked OK.. but I'm going to just get a new outdrive I guess... Here are the specs so ya'll can help me out.. The Engine serial # is 0d848189 and the drive serial # is 0d879727<br /><br />Thanks in advance... any info. on the chepeast place to find an outdrive would also help.. I'm leaning towards Ebay... anybody know of the exact outdrive I need that I can find on Ebay???

i dont no what the iboats drive really is nobody has every given feed back on one<br /><br />the sterndrive cc unit is the only aftermarket drive that has gotten good feedback here <br /><br />you have an ALPHA GEN II drive dont no the ratio <br /><br />tommays

I've had two deals with sterndrive.cc.Sold these units to 2 customers.<br /><br />First one is still ticking after 20 hours.Second one had u-joint failure after 2 or so hours.Sterndrive.cc is fixing this drive.<br /><br />Customer has $1800 in parts to deal with,plus labor,beyond what sterndrive.cc will cover.This is damage to the bell housing and tramsom housing.<br />Caused by their drive.<br /><br />DHP

Id love to know DHP what the in's and out's with this problem?<br /><br />This site used to help sell those units and do not now? Why? I do not know? Wondering if their is a problem?

No help from sterndrive.cc,except they will fix their drive.A clip came out of their 'new outdrive' u-joint ,and did several $$$$$ damage to my customer's boat.The say that's his problem.And expense.<br /><br />DHP
