Can the fitting on a fuel tank where the hose connects from the tank to the fuel pump be replaced because for some reason it is not letting fuel into the pump.

Re: Fuel tank

They will usually unscrew out of there. That is probly the antisyphon valve.

Check the anti-siphon and I can blow air through it. Can I replace the whole fitting that the anti-siphon valve connets to?

Re: Fuel tank

Does it unscrew out of the tank. That other fitting is usually nothing more than just an elbow that the anti-syphon valve goes into. Are you sure it isn't the fuel pump or something else?
Try putting some fresh gas into a bucket and run the hose from the pump directly to the bucket and see if the pump is pulling up the gas.
Do you have a clear hose from the carb to the pump? Does it have gas in it?

Then I would try a new anti-syphon valve. Have you tried pulling out the other fitting, it should have a tube attched to it that sucks the fuel from the bottom of the tank. Make sure it is clean(they usually have a screen a the bottom of that pickup tube.
