I would think one of those small electric pressure washers hooked up to an inverter would make a pretty fair squirt gun. or if you really want to kick a$$ get a gasoline powered trash pump and a fire hose...

This reminded me of something I saw one time at an eastern Oregon Lake. There were some girls acting real cool up on the bank, there was a couple of guys in a fancy ski, (jet Boat) that went over to them to talk and offered them something to drink, they acted stuck up and so when they left, they had a jetovator on the jet boat and they raised it above the waterline and puched it working the steering back and forth. I kid you not, It liked to washed them off the beach. Hundreds of gallons of water in just seconds. Tumbled there cooler and everything else they had way up on the beach from where they were. I have to say I thought they had it coming. :D

Just don't get too close to that pressure washer, the high pressure stream will cut you easily at a few feet. :( The plastic ebay thing looks wimpy for the price, however, a starter motor on that crank would make it more fun.... :D

Sounds a whole lot safer than what happens in canal that leads to my dock. The locals sit on their docks and through bricks at the puncks flying through the channel.Never one hit,but its a whole lot of to watch. If you come up with something that works let us know,I'm sure someone could make alot money with this.

:p jim

Still thinking,

Wouldn't and accumulator tank (air) and some quick acting solinoid valves connected to a barrel lowered into the water provide the same effect.

I work for a company that helped design the dancing water at the Bilagio in Vegas. (Pumps) And yes, you can lob a water blob or missile. Any of you been to Navy pier and walked down the sidewalk and have those water tubes shoot over your head? Again pumps and solinoid valves. Most of the energy is used to defeat gravity. Note: for each 2.31 feet of elevation you get one psi. therefor water falling from 23 feet of elevation would only be 10psi.....

You will need something like a piston to separate the air from the water creating a ram effect...

Hey who said he actually had to hit someone with that water gun. Fire off a few warning shots when those pesky PWC drivers get near your wake. If I was on a PWC and saw that beast in action I'd find another wake to jump elsewhere! I say "build it and they will STAY AWAY!" :D ;)

A fake deck gun rigged to sound realistic might be fun (got a good stereo amp and a sound effect CD of a cannon or heavy machine gun?). At least until someone tries to return fire or you have to explain to the lake patrol officers...

I still think an World War II PT boat would be just the thing on 4th of July. Those Packard V-12 engines wouldn't burn THAT MUCH gas, would they??? :D
