Tilt down slow on 88 Stratos merc 150BM

I bought a used Bass Boat and I find the tilt down is very slow on the engine. Tilt up works okay though - any suggestions.<br /><br />Thanks Steve

Clean all electrical connections would be the first thing.

The elec motor seems to be getting juice okay, I will clean the connections though. <br /><br />When the tilt motor runs the engine tilts down very slow, much slower than when i raises the tilt. <br /><br />Inotice one of the hoses to the tilt cylinder is smaller diameter than the other - I assume the tilt down uses some gravity to assist with the tilt. <br /><br />Thanks<br />Steve
