No, I'm not talking about insurance. Insurance protects you when you hit someone else, have your boat stolen, sunk, whatever. It doesn't help you when you break down and have to have $1000 worth of work done to get going again. Same goes for a car. You buy insurance against theft or accidents, but if you throw a rod you pay for it. Now, for cars you can buy a warranty, pretty much whenever you want. Usually they're sold through insurance companies. This will pay if you have mechanical problems. This is what I would like to have for my boat. I already have insurance in case it is stolen. But again, it doesn't cover the new powerhead I have to buy this year...
