haven't had many questions in a couple of years because this forum usaully answers them all for me.Great Job. I,ve got a 2003 volvo 5.0 220 h.p. 2 barrel holley carburated motor in my glastron. From all the info. around it seems it has the Vortec heads. The intake looks exactly like Edelbroc's Performer R.P.M.high rise 4- barrel manifold. Does anyone know if volvo uses a 4-barrel to 2- barrel carb plate adapter for this setup? I'd like to go with a holley 4-barrel setup and would like to know if that's what's hiding under my 2-barrel. P.S.I could take it apart and see for myself, but anyones info would be more appreciated ;thanksVETTMAN

Re: volvo 5.0 intake manifold

I belive that manifold does use an adapter for the 2 barrrel carb. I don't know what spacing it is though. I have same 5.0 GL and thought about upgrading the carb as well, but have not done it yet. Hopefuly someone will chime in. I am not sure what gains you will get with existing camshaft etc. If you tak the plung please report details and I will do the same.

Re: volvo 5.0 intake manifold

I too am anxious to hear about this. I have the same set up in my 2002 Glastron 205 GX. Would think that going to a Holly or Edlebrock 650 would give more top end. I can't complain a bit about how my boat runs now though. Starts right up hot or cold.
