I got my circulating pump (antifreeze) back from rebuild for an AQ125A Volvo Penta. The final cost was $78.00. NAPA sent it to one of their vendors and it cost about 1/3 of a new one. Only took a couple of days. I'll run it in a tank after I install it but it'll be next spring before I can really put it to a test.

My question is really pretty basic. Since I'm not much of a mechanic I'd like to find out the difference between Permatex red and blue, which one I should use for this application or is there another gasket sealer I should use.

Red is for high heat. Blue is fine for the water pump

The "ULTRA-BLACK" is what I keep around. It's good for most applications.

Keep in mind that Silicone seals only as good as you have prep'd the surface. You also need to let it cure (usually overnight) before operating.
