Re: Mating a Ford 351 to Mercruiser Outdrive???
The other guys are right. I bleed Ford blue, and have a Mercruiser/Ford combo that I have been completely through and love it, but a 350 will make gobs of cheap power and simply bolt in.

To complete the 351 swap, you would need to find a '72-'77 boat or parts from one that had an 888 or 233. The 888 was a 188hp 302 and the 233 was a 351, I believe they use the same bellhousing. These show up on e-bay quite often for ~$100. As others have said, the Y pipes are spaced differently, the mounts will likely be in the wrong places (fiberglass work!), different coupler ($200), manifolds ($600 or so unless you get some Hi-Tek stainless ones. Sweet, but at over $1200, they are not cheap. Not shure, but the input shaft on the drive may be a different length. Also be careful with that coupler, I know someone that has a built Ford smallblock that kept stripping stock couplers. He has lots of $$$ in that motor. I think he ended up having a Bravo couple machined to bolt to his engine.

I would drop a nice 350 in there and rip. The parts are cheaper to get.
