Does anyone know of a good antique/clasic boat forum? I found some forums but they seem to all deal mainly with old wood boats. Thanks

I tried that Aluminum boat repair but it is messed up or something everytime i click on a post it goes to the wrong topic, wierd. Know of any more? Thanks.

That's just the way it works. After you read a posting, you have go back to the first post of the thread and click on which one of the replies you want to view. Klugey, but - that's THE board for AL boat repair.

Thanks Richg iv'e been there, they have my boat but what i was looking for is a old aluminum or fiberglass antique or clasic if you like web site which seems to be non exsistant of small boats say 20' and under all there seems to be around is old wood boat clubs cristcraft owens ect. I know there is a lot of old fiberglass and aluminum boats from the 40's and 50's still out there making wakes but non on any of the sites available that i've been able to find

For fiberglass boats take a second look at the fiberglassics website. There may be more there than you realize. They go back as far as fiberglass boats go back.

Well, you could do what I did. Start your own. I started the Carolina Skiff Owners Group on MSN Groups. No cost, and they make it pretty easy to do. I'm no computer genius, so if I could figure it out , you could, too. Get a couple of guys with the type of boat that you are attracting to put the website address in their signature (like mine is ) and you will, sooner or later, get a following. I have over 83 members now and it's only been open since mid December. RichG

I was kind of thinking about that, it kind of supprised me that there isn't some around because there is a lot more little old runabouts around that there is big crusers for the obious reason $$$$$, i'll look around and see if i can get some pics of old boats around here in Okla. and start a page on it, maybe it will take off. I'll toss it around. Mainly what I was talking about was old aluminum, stainless, and fiberglass boats.

Have you looked through both MSN Groups and Yahoo Groups???? As I remember when I started the Carolina Skiff group, there were hundreds of boating groups on MSN alone...just none specific to Carolina Skiff boats. RichG
