Hi all - you helped me years ago with my 71 Chrysler 55 outboard and now I am back with a new boat and new question/problem. I do not know proper names for parts so bear with me please....We just purchased a 77 Fiberform with a OMC 120 in it - we hooked up a hose to the sterndrive water connection and turned on the faucet and water started coming out of the engine (onboard) just below a large 90 degree elbow which is behind and about level with the carburetor....my hubby felt where the water was coming from and there is a small (drilled) hole to the left of two square type appendages - should a plug go in the hole? The battery was too low to turn the engine over but she did crank - will the water stop when the engine starts? Water was coming out of the stern drive like it should......but the other hole...sheesh wouldn't we sink....LOL. Hope someone can help - we did order a Seloc manual but that won't be in for a while and we want to get cracking on her!

Thanks in advance

Norene
