Tracker Tahoe Shift Problem

I have a brand new 2006 Tahoe, 5.1 FI<br />I put it in the water for the first time today, it ran fine for several hours. After stopping and trying to start the boat, I discovered that the shifter would not go into nuetral or reverse. I was able to start the motor by using the throttle only override but the unit is locked in forward. It wont shift to nuetral or reverse when it is on or off? Cables seem fine? Help! Dealer can't see if for 3 weeks.

Never heard of a 5.1 FI.<br />Is it Volvo? Mercruiser? Something else????

So, BT, what is a 5.1 FI? Volvo? Merc? you have a manual, let the rest of us know............
