On my Wellcraft 21SL 1996 I always try to keep the bilge area clean and dry. In reality its like fighting a losing battle because everytime it rains, water will run into the anchor holding at the stern through the drain hole in there and then into the bilge. I was thinking of blocking this hole and maybe routing a pipe from there out to a drain valve on the side of the boat. Does anyone have any other ideas? Maybe a pump?

What about installing a nice metal ring around the ancor hole, then get ya a piece of magnet based rubber (thin 1/8" ) use the rubber magnet to cover the hole when not in use.

Thanks for that, can you please explain in more detail. If I cover the hole this means that the anchor compartment will fill up when it rains

Lots of boats are plumbed to self-drain (most center console fishing boats do). Find a dealer who sells one and take a close look at the plumbing. Your idea will work.
